I am a PhD candidate of Political Science at the University of California, Davis. My research focuses on international security, security cooperation, political violence, and conflict.
I received my B.S. in Communications and Political Science (minor) at the University of California, Davis and my M.A. in Political Science at California State University, Los Angeles. My thesis focused on examining the role of right-wing populist leaders in the United States and Hungary to impact religious individuals' voter turnout. I examined Donald J. Trump and Viktor Orbán's use of populist tactics such as paranoia and strongman style when discussing social & economic issues.
Aside from my academic research, I served as a Board Member to the Chancellor’s Graduate & Professional Student Advisory Board at University of California, Davis from 2022-2024. I was selected as RAND’s Summer Associate for summer 2024 where I conducted research on a project in the Arroyo Center (RAND Army Research Division).
As an Assyrian-American, I believe in serving my community and since 2019, I have been the Executive Director at Assyrian Studies Association, a nonprofit organization that promotes the academic study of the Assyrian heritage through supporting research, teaching, and intellectual collaboration among scholars from around the world. I also enjoy spending time with friends & family, being outdoors, and creating art.
